Congratulations to His Majesty King Charles III

The Master, Fellows and Scholars of Magdalene College, Cambridge extend our congratulations to His Majesty King Charles III and Queen Camilla on the occasion of Their Majesties’ coronation.

We are honoured to convey our best wishes as you lead the United Kingdom and the people of the Commonwealth.

Your Majesties’ commitment to duty and service reflects the very essence of the monarchy: promoting education and good international relations, fostering national unity and identity, and upholding the values cherished by the people of the United Kingdom.

We are particularly grateful for all that Your Majesties have done for this collegiate University and are joyful that our Honorary Fellow, The Very Reverend, Dr David Hoyle, the Dean of Westminster, will be part of this historic occasion as will The Very Reverend Professor David Fergusson, Regius Professor of Divinity at Cambridge and Magdalene Fellow in his role as Dean of the Chapel Royal in Scotland.

We are grateful for the late Queen's remarkable legacy of selfless duty which exemplified the highest standards of service and devotion to her people. We are confident Your Majesties will carry forward her noble ideals.

May this new reign be filled with joy, success and fulfilment. God save the King.
