Honorary Fellow awarded an honorary degree from The University of Cambridge
Congratulations to our Honorary Fellow, Ms Lida Lopes Cardozo Kindersley MBE (2015), on the outstanding achievement of being awarded an honorary degree from The University of Cambridge.
The Chancellor, Lord Sainsbury of Turville, presided over a special congregation in the Senate House, where more than 400 staff, students, alumni, and distinguished guests gathered to celebrate the occasion.

The highest accolade awarded by the university is a testament to Lida's remarkable contributions and accomplishments in the field of letter cutting and typography. This honorary doctorate is a well-deserved recognition of Lida's master craftsmanship, dedication, expertise, and renown as an author and teacher.
The Master of Magdalene, Sir Christopher Greenwood, who attended the ceremony said:
“We are all delighted that Lida’s work, a fine example of which can be seen in our new library, has been honoured in this way. Many congratulations.”
