Remembrance Sunday 2024: College Act of Remembrance

Magdalene’s Act of Remembrance will take place in the College Chapel on Remembrance Sunday, 10 November at 6.00pm.

As an international community, we gather to remember conflicts past and present, mourning all those whose lives have been given and taken away in war, and to pray for peace. The last post will sound and we will keep silence together. Candles will be lit at the College’s First and Second World War Memorials.

At Choral Evensong, after the Act of Remembrance, the Choir sing John Ireland’s Greater Love and our visiting preacher is the Reverend Dr John McCabe, Research Associate studying the German theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer at the Von Hügel Institute for Catholic Inquiry.
