Sir Andrew Ritchie KC is a Fellow Commoner of Magdalene College. He is a High Court Judge.

Sir Ritchie was admitted as a solicitor in 1984 before being called to the bar at the Inner Temple in 1985. He practised personal injury and clinical negligence law at 9 Gough Chambers, where he served as head of chambers from 2012 to 2019.

He took silk in 2009 and was a member of the executive committee of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers from 1996 to 1999. He later chaired the Personal Injury Bar Association from 2014 to 2016. As a practitioner, he appeared before both the Court of Appeal and the House of Lords.

Beyond his legal practice, he was the general editor of Kemp & Kemp: Law Practice and Procedure from 2005 and has been a member of the editorial board of Kemp & Kemp on Quantum since 2004.

On 1 October 2021, he was appointed a judge of the High Court, assigned to the King's Bench Division. He received a knighthood the following year.
