Application Dates and Deadlines

The Cambridge application process has several important dates and deadlines, all of which must be met to ensure your application is considered.

UCAS deadline

The UCAS deadline for Cambridge is earlier than most other universities.

UCAS applications must be submitted by 6:00 pm (UK time) on 15 October.

Key dates and deadlines for the 2025-26 admissions round for entry in October 2026 and deferred entry in October 2027. Deadlines in italics are for the previous round.

• Mid-April: Deadline for challenges to fee status categorisation
• 24 April: Deadline for the submission of the Financial Undertaking Form
• Submit DBS applications to the Student Registry

• 13 May: UCAS application for 2025-26 admissions round open
• 13 May: Applications open for bursary vouchers and access arrangements for the UCAT admission test if you want to study Medicine

• 2 June: Applications open for bursary vouchers and access arrangements for the ESAT and TMUA admissions tests. You’ll need to take the ESAT if you want to study Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, Engineering, Natural Sciences or Veterinary Medicine, and the TMUA if you want to study Computer Science or Economics
• 12 June: Deadline for the submission of financial undertaking/confirmation of loan eligibility from Student Finance
• 17 June: Booking for the UCAT admission test opens if you want to study Medicine

• 7 July: UCAT admission testing starts, if you want to study Medicine
• 31 July: Registration for the ESAT and TMUA admissions tests opens
• 31 July: Deadline for Language (IELTS/TOEFL) conditions to be met by offer holders

• 1 August tbc: Registration opens for LNAT admission test if you're applying to study Law.
• 14 August: Publication of A-level results
• 15 August: Summer and August Reconsideration Pool
• 31 August: Deadline for successful re-marks and all offer conditions to be met

• 1 September: Deadline for Organ Scholarships applications
• 8 September: Deadline to apply for access arrangements for the ESAT and TMUA admissions tests.
• 16 September tbc: Deadline for Law applicants to register for the LNAT
• 16 September: Deadline to apply for access arrangements for the UCAT admission test if you want to study Medicine
• 29 September: Deadline to register for the ESAT and TMUA admissions tests. This is also the deadline to apply for a bursary voucher for these tests
• 19 September: Deadline to register for the UCAT admission test if you want to study Medicine
• 26 September: Take the UCAT admission test by this date if you want to study Medicine. This is also the deadline to apply for a bursary voucher for this test.
   

• 9 and 10 October: Take the ESAT admissions test if you want to study Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, Engineering, Natural Sciences or Veterinary Medicine. Applicants from China, Hong Kong and Macau must take the test on 10 October.
• 13 or 14 October: Take the TMUA admissions test if you want to study Computer Science or Economics. Applicants from China, Hong Kong and Macau must take the test on 14 October.
• 15 October (6.00 pm UK time): Deadline for UCAS applications
• 15 October tbc: Take the LNAT admission test by this date if you want to study Law
• 22 October (6.00 pm UK time): Deadline of submission for the My Cambridge Application
• 22 October: Deadline to provide your transcript, if you’re an international student
• Late October tbc: Deadline for the submission of the Extenuating Circumstances Form

• 5 November: Deadline for submission of written work in relevant subjects
• Early November: Deadline for submission of the Interview Adjustment Form
• Early November: Deadline for submission of, if relevant, any UMS marks already achieved

• The majority of interviews will take place in the first three weeks of December
• Files of unsuccessful applicants from the previous round are destroyed in line with Data Protection Policy

• Early January: A small number of interviews may take place in the first two weeks of January
• Mid-January: Winter Pool
• Mid-January: Winter Pool interviews
• Late January: Decisions on interviews (if you have had a pool interview, your decision may not arrive until a few days later)

• Mid-late February: Deadline for applications for Choral Awards
• Information on financial undertaking requirements sent to offer holders
